Hi everyone.
Just got my starters pack and i have some questions.

What part of the starters pack am i to send away? Im pretty sure it is the blue paper that i have to fill out but it also says when i attend the course i am to take this with me?

Also what tips to you guys have for the test? I know i need to know the flags inside out but what else?

What should i take with me? what do i need?

Can someone give me a run through of what will happen on the day aswell?

Are you looking to do your ARDS test at Knockhill??

I would recommend taking a trip down to Teesside Autodrome for your ARDS. Howard was excellent when I did mine there.

I have done ARDS tests at both Knockhill and Teesside (and passed them both BTW) and was far more impressed with Teesside. Much better value for money IMHO.

You take the blue form with you and just fill it out there. The written test is mainly common sense so don't worry about that. The driving part is fine as long as you can show you know the lines and are in control of the car. Don't try to drive too fast, it's not about how quick you are. Just be smooth and don't crash.

Thanks all. Yes i will be doing it at KH, will I just phone and book it with them? Not sure about Teesside but I know knockhill inside out and it's not too far from me.

Also is it the same price to renew every year ?

When you don't renew your license for 6 years. Kids, etc.

I think you will find a lapsed licence is dealt with a ards written test,not the actual driving part re-sit?

make sure you have your medical before the ARDS , it can erm hold things up if you do it after

That depends. It's not always that straightforward. Believe me, I know.

I had no problems getting a licence after 15 years,i had kept old licences so i could prove my licence entitlment,i found msa very helpful.
