Does anyone know if this is possible? Not for me.... Well maybe but i have never seen a quattro kit car or even heard of a conversion been done. (Only one i know of is a A4 from FWD to quattro.)
Or would it be a waste of time in a kit car?
If you COULD convert what would be the procceses involved?
Cheers smile

Not a Quattro, but I've seen 4WD kits, certainly. The Murtaya for a start. Some Dax Rushes.

Fair enough im not sure yet. If i had a kit that could be converted, is it much hassle?

most 4wd kit cars sttart as 4wd like my murtaya,as all the diffs etc are present itcan be converted to rwd for drifting but hard to convert fwd or rwd to 4wd as would nedd to retrofit everything for which there probably is no space

It is possible on some 7's [Dax] but the big probs are space for g/box trans box front diff as space is somewhat limited HTH

You do it 'quite simply' with a space frame if you matched the mounting points from something like an Evo. You'd need to shorten the prop in all likelihood and you'd be stuck with a front engine layout.

Even simpler you could simply chop the floor out of an evo, shorten it, fit a cage and re-skin the car in the body of your choice; in fact a chap in Readers cars has done just that with a Frankenstein Evo / C2
