Looking for some advice on the Mito 1.3 Diesel

My parents are looking at getting one but will be buying it on finance/lease basis. Although I would prefer them to buy a car then own and sell it not losing as much money etc etc but my words don't seem to be working lol I would also prefer them to get a Giuletta as it is a stunning looking car. I'm not sure on the spec its black, low miles and has alloys, Bluetooth but no leather. Looking at the webiste it may be this one - http://www.westernedinburghalfaromeo...e_id=602344...

Anyways don't really know much about them, be cool having an Alfa not sure on the mechanicals! My main concern is a colleague at work has this Chrysler Ypsilon and everything just feels cheap and I hate hate hate it I'm concerned it may feel like this.

Also found one review on Parkers from back in 2008 which didn't make for good reading this was obviously a 2008 model has anything changed to them since then?

Is there also a diffrence between the running costs (fuel/road tax) between the 1.3 and 1.6 model?

Anyways I feel I'm being very negative. Thoughts/advice! smile

Thanks

Had the 1.6 diesel as a hire car when I was in Italy a few weeks back. Main thing I noticed was that even for a diesel it was very, very unrefined: sounded like a transit van. Interior was reasonably nice, good steering wheel and driving position, but some parts felt extremely cheap: mine was specced without cc and the dials felt worse than the ones in my astra.
I suspect a well specced one would be reasonably decent inside, but overall I'm not sure they're worth the money

The 1.3 is a very different engine to the 1.6....it's very refined and revvy.

The mito is a lovely car for the money IMO......and a lot more distinctive than most euro boxes out there.
