I am going to look at a 2006 Cayman S tomorrow and was wondering what I needed to look out for, it comes with a full Porsche service history, had its warranty check only on the 7th June 2012 and had its 6 year service last Friday (which it got a good bill health). With those checks and a warranty is there anything else I can look for that those checks would not look for?

Thanks for any help.

I'd you are getting the Porsche warranty you don't need to worry.

As above, or if you're not do a search as they do have some engine issues that can prove to be very costly.

condition of tyres, brakes etc.. will be costly if needs to be changed. Otherwise with P warranty your ok as 80% things are covered.

Did you see the car as planned? Was curious how you got on?

@technogogo, went to look at her on Saturday, finalised the deal and brought her home. She seems to be a beutiful car and quite a step up from my last car (Audi TT mkII) smile, just really enjoying driving around at the moment! Only problem I have noticed is that the brakes are squeaking when I brake lightly but not when I press them hard!

Nice one. Funny you mention the TT. The other car I am considering is a TTS. I've got an 07 reg 330d coupe at the moment. Which has been superb. So looking for something even better. Hence the Cayman probably trumps the TT.
