Goldeneye Reloaded

I seem to be stuck not that far into the game. I'm at the point where a plane is taking off from the runway, and you get on the motorbike and chases the plane. At the point where you can shoot, no matter how many times I shoot I always get killed after a few seconds. What I'd like to know is, how do you get any further?

Pretty sure you need to shoot the guy hanging out of the back door of the airplane and the other two on the bikes.
