Ok, I'm the proud owner of a Cerb beating fettled Griff.....BUT a new addition to the family means the inevitable is going to happen....bye bye to two seats...hello to four seats..and alas..a roof

I'm probably going to beat the record set by DustyC to buy a car, and would appreciate a few pointers from you guys.

Any pointers what to look for when I'm viewing will be gratefully received.

k77 - is it worth seeing what Offord Motors can come up with?

I'm surprised your Griff has beaten Cerbs. I reckon that's more a case of you beating the other driver rather than either of the cars ability. In the right hands a Cerb is pretty capable, especially if you fit Nitrons, and will destroy a Griff.

Happy hunting. There's to much to list here as far as what to look for. Drive several examples , spend as much as you can and if you look at a car within striking distance of Cambridge give me a shout and I'll have a nose at it with you if you like.

you saw me at Bedford a few months ago!!

enough said!

due to the amount of £ sunk into my Griff, I'm looking to make this a track day weapon, and use the Cerb as a day to day car.

Hi Stu,

If you fancy coming along to the Hen & Ckicken this Thursday we can have a good chat about what you need to look out for.

Failing that drop me an email with your number and I can dicuss it over the phone if you want.

Craig.

Lets all play, spot the wind up!!!

I seem to recall that the engine has been rebuilt and also the bonnet catches keep coming loose!!

Also why would I want a car that's slower than mine??

Errrm, I've seen Gary's car, and its been up on my ramp at home to look at the standard of work done.

He has a very nice car, with a very tidy underneath, that would put to shame many of the other cars I've seen. Very nice paint job and probably the best sounding sports exhaust I've heard on a Cerb.

If I didn't have mine I'd be tempted.

But my Griff has got by it at Goodwood!

he came into the pits afterwards saying that his bonnet was loose, then turned up at a garage we both use, the following week, saying that something must be wrong and he needed more power, as a GRIFF overtook him the previous week at Goodwood

K77 - have you driven a Cerb on track? I've driven a Griff on track and road. I can tell you that a Cerb will destroy a Griff on a circuit IMHO. Unless your Griff has received a huge amount of development that is?! I can't wait for you to get one and then see what you think. Keep a grand aside for Nitrons though, it's a must.
