Stage 2 child car seats

Hi all,

Our twins are coming up to a year old and currently travel around in the Maxi-Cosi Cabrio-Fix. Now on it's website it says these seats are suitable for a child "around" 12 months or 13kg (28lb).

Our twins are fairly small for their age (15lb 12 & 19lb 7 respectively) so I am wondering if we do need to splash out on new car seats just because they will be a year old soon.

Is it a weight and development thing?

Are their feet over hanging the ends of the seat? If not I would say the seat is still ok.

Size & weight are the important factors, not age.

I can recommend http://www.incarsafetycentre.co.uk/ in Milton Keynes (reasonably near you?). They'll find the seats which fit properly in your car, and fit them for you.
