Sorry for the shaky video........

Lovely evening, roof down, 55mph, National speed limit. Then this fking ballbag stones the fk right out of me by this wonderful maneuver

My spotless Z4 isn't so spotless now.

Reporting this tosser would be a waste of time no? Or i'm I just be Mr Angry tonight.

Yet again I feel like a tt for owning a fairly nice car. Touch up ordered !

This^

Annoying as it may be, if you get yourself worked up into such a lather from a bit of grit being flung up from another cars tyres then may I suggest you wrap up your Z4 in cotton wool, park it in a garage and never drive it again.

No. I had something similar; I was overtaken on one of those 20mph 'skid hazard' unfinished roads, where workers leave all those loose stones on the road to be bedded in by passing cars ... THAT added a lot of stone chips to my car! I had the front end resprayed soon after.

Nope, idiotic move by the other driver but not worth the effort, nothing will come of it.

Was it a freshly "resurfaced" road (as in the cheapskate tar and loose gravel) with warning signs?

If not where did the gravel come from?

If so, well, yes I'd be pissed too. Show video to police, get crime number and contact insurance.

Or learn to look in your mirrors more and if it happens again you can slow right down to minimise any potential damage to zero or close to.

....for the crime of overtaking? There's no evidence in your video that a double white line was crossed.

The section of red tarmac is full of stones as no one ever drives on it. Double solid lines.

Guy was doing about 80mph plus and if you look carefully I pulled left to the side of the road and slowed down. I always watch out for this here but he was going way to fast.

Just fecking angry. His maneuver further up the road nearly caused a three car pile up.

Lines to the left of the hatching look like dashed lines, but that may just be the cats' eyes between them. Normally a double white splits in the middle and the bit between the lines is filled by hatching, but it looks like for these the double white continues to one side, which must make the other side dashed?

Do you film all of your car journeys? If so, why?

No, but it seems perhaps you are. Aren't those hazard lines after the right turn zone as opposed to the double whites before it? The video shows no indication of your speed and the VW driver will say you were dawdling. Nothing to see here.

There is no footage of a double white line being crossed, only the likeliehood that the overtaking car crossed the double white lines behind you before the overtake. Yes he was a tcensoredt for overtaking you at that point but that's all. Move on, the world is full of tcensoredts and there is nothing you can do to change that.

Nope it's solid all the way. The cats eyes are in it. It's solid for another 1/2 mile after that and the incar vid has GPS.

I was trying out daily roads on my new phone for a laugh for the first time. Guess I was asking for it.

A lot of people do now me included.

The main reason (and this is specifically mine), is if you've ever been accused of having been involved in an accident, and there are witnesses, and you never were, it's a scam, and you had to sort all the mess out that causes, you may consider it too.

seriously, that isn't even slightly bad driving, well it is, but not compared to the crud I have to endure on the roads almost every day.

If you mean "does someone start a thread on here whinging about getting stone chips from a gritting lorry?" then yes, 'we' do. There is at least one thread on it every winter.
