got ya all lookin didnt it, took the dash top off the chim tonight to sort the heater controls (they`were spinning and doing jack all else!) and to be honest it was a walk in the park, puttin the sucker back on was a complete pain in the back door tho! sorted the heater controls and now it goes where its pointed and gets hot or very hot! I love this car, a previous owner (investigator) broke some of the glass where the radio goes in an some of the fixings for the light switches. It fixes with super glue!!! how many rice grinders can you fix that easy? have a question tho..............why are petrol pump nozzles shaped like bananas? I struggle to get the nozzle in the filler without smacking the under side of the boot lid!

I can't visualise your problem, but I keep the nozzle pointing up until I'm close to the tank and then aim it in. If it sounds easy, that's because it is. I can only imagine that your boot doesn't open very far for some reason, but that would make getting the roof in a bit of a problem.

Point the nozzle handle across the boot for a better flow and more chance of being able to get some full squeeze action.

funny you should say that about gettin the roof in, it is a little tight, I usually just try and get one end in and weave it round the space saver.....maybe i should look at the size of my opening! oooer mrs, tiiter ye not!

It's tight side-to-side anyway, but would be pretty much impossible if you can't have it vertical as you wiggle (if that makes any sense) .

Try putting some hair round it --
then it slips in
