hi all, just a quick one, like the idea of the front lights having the smooth covered in look like the griff, I understand that the later chims came out the crate like it, is it possible to fit these to my early chim easily? any idea whats involved and cost? many thanks all.....wiggy

It certainly looks possible. I think the early light surround/carrier shape is the same as the hole in the latest ones - but the lamps are much further back.

Anybody had a go?

I sure I have heard on here that TVR power can do this conversion. Not sure about the price, they advertise on here so a quick call could sort it out. They do look good.

Zertec were working on a conversion kit.

The lights on the later model arent the same, they are very slightly different.

I cant see it being too tricky though, its only fibreglass after all.

Well, the hole in the wing looks the same to me when I compared (by eye!). They don't need to be different, so why should they?

Really, why's that then mate? Does it make the car look too girly-Griff-like!

just dont think it works to be honest. The original shape of the chim front looks right, as does the griff. But the headlight covers for the chim are set at too steep an angle and just dont look right to me.

i can't decide whether i like them or not, sometimes i think year they look good and other times i thing they look wrong (like that pic). one thing though they must be far more aerodynamic that the regular ones!

tvrbodyshop were/are supposed to be doing a faired in twin conversion for the chim(like the griff one they do) i did email for details but never got a reply

miss mine too

The Zertec ones IIRC were only over the "speed 12" style lights

PM me for my tales of their customer service BTW

As for the upgraded lights, I quite liked the ones on mine (follow the chim link in my profile)

Phil, have to agree with you mate, it's an abomination before the eyes of God, and let the sinners be struck down unless they repent........

But I don't let it get to me.
