Been looking through google for current scrap value prices and there is a wide range of values floating around.
Just wanted to ask what are current prices like in your area?

Just been quoted £100 per ton in Cumbria area. Is this about right?

Blimey, thats a bit of a difference to the quote I'm getting just south of the border!
A puma would only weigh in at about 1 ton area?

Just rang up a few other scrappies in my area....all quoting around the £100 per ton mark.

Seems scrap metal prices have fallen sharply over the past few months.

£120 a ton for light iron at the mo, No1 is more like £145 and is usually the same amount more than light.
Light iron IE dirty iron like cars, washing machines ect
No1 IE clean like seperate pannels, exhausts, gates ect ect mo st in other words.
It was £160 and £185 earlyer in the year.
If you weigh in a car IE at a scrap yard they will charge you for the tyres as well, usually £2.50 and up per, sell it to a breaker you may get more ?
