Hi, when my fuel is low and I open the fuel cap I get that vacuum sound, on here I am sure someone mentioned that there is a breather located in the offside wing which could be cleaned. So I removed the cover and could see something which has a couple of hoses running to it. I managed to disconnect one, but before i ventured further I could not see any means to strip the box down to clean it, so I gave up and put it all back. So am I looking at the wrong item or can it not be stripped. Any one any ideas.
Thanks

Thanks, I will try that, seems sensible. Just wish I could find the post on here. I am not too concerned about it just one of those many things I would like to get to get sorted.

Paul attached to the cannister i think is the purge valve what it does i dont know but i have posted a pic assume it is purged by ECU possibly on start to vent system maybe its that thats failed but as said when i had my first couple tanks of fuel always sucked air in when opening cap but since making sure cap right on as they say seems to have cured it.
Think the cannister is a throw away unit but this may also be attached to it

Thanks Graham, that pic is what I have, I dont know if there is any way I can check it. the link Flying Penguin sent it mentioned about kinked pipes etc, so I might go back and check. I just dont want something serious to happen if I can prevent it now. confused
