Which Gas BBQ (£100-200)

Hi All,

I'm looking to buy a Gas bbq to feed 2-6 people. After doing some research I've come across the below option;

However, some have coals, some like the above don't. What are your thoughts and experiences of gas bbq's that use coals, is there any real benefit in cooking / taste?

we've got one of these:

since we only have a small balcony as the sum total of our outside space (if you don't count a car parking space or a garage) then gas makes a lot more sense for us. also you can fire it up every evening for regular meals.

of course, charcoal is more manly and satisfies our caveman instincts but with a balcony of about 4 x 5 metres, you can't escape the smoke outside and half of it blows into your house and fills up the living room. we tried, but it really wasn't practical, or even that much fun.

What's the deal with coals, some gas bbqs have them, some don't?

Do they change the flavor at all, or just make the heat more even across the griddle? Trying to work out if they are worth another £80!

i reckon there should be some good deals out there considering the summer we have had so far.
