Where are all the Scamera Vans??

Just wondering about this.....

When was the last time you saw one?

I used to see them often in Essex, but now can't remember the last time I saw one.

Mates also make similar comments.

Have they cut back on the QT for financial reasons?

Any Plod on here to shed light on this??

Yesterday, in Newbold Road, Chesterfield.

Interesting point. They always sat on the m74 bridges in dumfrieshire but haven't seen one for months.

Not seen a van for donkey's, I think it was by Basingstoke on the 50mph bit of the A33 on the way to Chineham... a few months ago at least.

Wow! I live one mile away from that road. I have not seen one in a couple of weeks, and that was on Sheffield Rd, Chesterfield.

Still out and about in Lancashire, Scamera vans will only disappear when the council around here have made sure everyone has a man waving a red flag in front of them!

Leaving the RS day at Combe last week there was one sat in a village, a couple miles away from the circuit.

Seen one at Detling hill on the A249 in Kent a few times in the past couple of months. Saw an ANPR one on friday on the A13 near Corringham accompanied by 2 undercover cars, 3 interceptors and 2 bikes. Also seen an orificer standing on one of the bridges before the Dartford tunnel with a gun and another couple waiting at the toll booths, good round here it is

Seen one comming back from scarborough a few weeks ago thought I might of been over but nothings came

there was one lurking in the 30mph zone of the benton commercial district in newcastle upon tyne.

You could see the damn thing a mile off, can't believe they would have caught anyone.

There has definitely been a reduction in Essex, with even some well known, favoured locations not being used for ages.

Just hope i don't come a cropper!!

A361 from Barnstaple to Tiverton in Devon yesterday...

Think I'll be off to naughty school as I was passing a few cars when I spotted it. Less than amused that people slowed to 40mph, in the NSL, as they approached it. fking brainless tts!

A61 Pennistone road Sheffield ,A635 Mancunion way Manchester both within last ten days so the buggers are still about .

Two months ago they had a bit of a purge on all the local roads around Huddersfield, but that was plod and not the vans.

Maybe they are waiting for the rural 40 limit to kick in

In Scotland, drove to Aberdeen via Dundee, then to Inverness and back down to England, saw 5, i do this regular and generaly see this amount on the A90 and A9, friggin obsessed with it
