mk3 engine conversion

Just out of interest how difficult would it be to put a 2l mk3 capri engine in a 1.6l mk3 capri? Purely out of interest. Thanks

If its carbs and both Pintos, about as easy as it gets................... Think everything is the same location, starters and alternators. Just get a strong crane !!!

Why not update a little and put a zetec engine in? Stand alone ecu can be bought new for around £500, scrapyard engine £200, few bits and bobs.

Reliable modern engine, 140bhp (ish).
