Hi folks

Graham, who owns a Chimera, and who also runs the Buntingford car show - an event which a few in the area get to - has invited us to the show this
year with a dedicated TVR place in enough of us are interested.

From chats today it seems like a number of people are already going, so if you would also like to come, please put your name down below and
assuming the weather is good, I'll work with Graham to get us an allocation.

This show is a mid-range show with classics, american cars and hotrods, but is local to those living in the Bishop's Stortford and surrounding area.

So, if you are interested, please put your name below and if their is enough of us, I'll get things rolling.

Thanks!

Ok, just chatted with Graham and looks like we'll be on the Manor House car park which for those who like POI is 51.946058,-0.018852.

Or for the old fashioned of us is "Buntingford Town Council, The Manor House, High Street, Buntingford, Hertfordshire SG9 9AB, United Kingdom",
just off Market Hill.

Hi folks

Following a conversation with the show organiser over the weekend, they have slightly
changed where they want us to park.

They would now like us to park on Market Hill in Buntingford, just off the High St. (see
attached picture). Basically, follow the road into Buntingford, look for Barclay's Bank off
the high street or Lloyds Pharmacy and that's Market Hill.

They would like us to be there by 1000am if possible, so that they can fine tune things
if wanted.

We have 11 spaces for the show, so if you have not put your name down, please don't
come as you won't be able to join us. cop

No run in for this one, just turn up and park by 10am.

Thanks

I should still be good for this. There'll be 11 spaces in that road then I take it coned off for us? What time will it go on to and hence what time can we leave from? Not that I'm trying to get away early but just need to plan my day as I have a few bits to do at home.

Hey Tony, Market Hill has a number of parking bays in it you can just park your car into. Typical market town place is Buntingford. Times I've been before, I've just left when I've needed to. The show opens @ 11. The hour is needed to get things setup ok before the people come.

Fantastic show, despite my little problem with my lack of electricity, which turned out to be a loose push connector above the ignition, so thankfully no need for a AA guy. I have never seen so many people looking round even up until 4pm.

beer I will drink to that. Great show with lots of different cars, well organised and well run.

Glad Henry's M did not let the side down with its small issue. An AA man would not have looked good! biggrin

Well done, Henry's dad for finding it!

Pics will follow later tomorrow night.

Thanks for the positive comments chaps - it makes all the hard work worthwhile. It was great to meet some of you, albeit too briefly, and I hope to meet more of you all in the months to come.

Looking forward to the pics Alex.

As promised, here is a brief report of the show yesterday with some pics.

After turning up at about 0940 or so, I parked up behind Henry's M3000 and were fortunate to see able
to run into Graham (the show organiser and Chimaera owner) almost straight away. After saying hello
to both Henry and introducing myself to Graham, we had a little chat about our cars and a mysterious
red Chimaera that I've seen occasionally around Hare Street - very close to Buntingford.

While we were speaking Tony also showed up in his T350 which has just run in its new 4.3 engine and we
spoke briefly about how he found it. Then Tim showed up in his Tuscan and people got to work cleaning
their cars.

Once the show opened, Tony, myself and Tim, went off down the main high street to look at the various
cars that had come. There was a great collection of both American classics, British classics, Kit cars and others.

...plus a few live bands as well!

It was a great day out and thanks very much to Graham and the crew for arranging it!

As always, the full album can be found @
