I have a 2005 Accord and a mk1 Eunos.

I like both cars but I just don't get the time to drive the Eunos.

My commute is 7 miles of twisty B roads.

The obvious answer would be to use the Eunos daily but its to small and old to be my daily for me.

So I have thought about combing the two?

Budget is 6k MAX! ideally 5k

Running costs not too bothered as ill be saving on the 210 tax and 250 insurance + consumables, welding etc from the Eunos.
Must be reliable and capable of a B road blast when I do get a chance.

Im really stuck on what to look at?

BMW with a straight six?
Looked at a Civic type r not for me.
Newer Mx5 too small not as easy to adapt as mk1.
Scooby Evo? Can I get a nice one for my budget.
Don't want a Golf as missus has a Slowmotion.

Really am stuck for ideas.

If only Honda made a car like the MX5 but newer slightly bigger and in your budget.

Like the S2000.

ETA, being sarcastic slows me down.

Also I've been using a 20 year old MX5 as a daily drive, and it works just fine.

I had written the s2000 off on the grounds of being too small. How is it on size compared to a Z4 I only just fit in a Z4.

Sorry are you rejecting the MX-5 as a daily based on size in the cabin or size in the boot for "stuff"? Just to be clear and all that smile

It's smaller. If you're wanting to go Jap and need the 4 doors, running costs no biggie - perhaps an RX-8?

And if it needs to be a convertible, there aren't many alternatives to an E46 325ci or 330ci given your requirements. £5k or £6k would get you a good Sport model. The same money buys you an older Boxster, but then you're back to the interior space (or lack of) issue again..

Size in the cabin. I will still have access to a golf for load lugging/long distance trips.

Ah okay. I'm 6ft2/3ish and I JUST fit in the Z4 Coupe. Worth the squeeze though smile
