The Penumbra games are quite good (basic, but good) if you like playing with the lights off and feeling nervous. hehe

My credit card has taken a hammering..... damn you steam I haven't even played all the games I bought during the Christmas sale. Oh well SWMBO now has the complete valve pack so can join in the L4D marathons (and sims3 to keep her occupied when I BF3'ing it).

I have also downloaded a ton of stuff.I came home from work just now to have a look and got this message:

'Steam.exe (main exception): Cannot open blob archive file: CMultiFieldBlob(mem-mapped file): Failed to open file'

Steam suggest a few tricks with the blob file but that if this doesn't work, you need to format the hard drive, reinstall your OS and STEAM!!!
Well, it didn't work for me, but I spotted a post where someone said you get the same error if you have run out of room on your hard drive.I checked and I had 8 meg remaining laugh

Glad I found that post though! I wonder how many people have formatted if the STEAM tips failed? redface

STEAM folder has gone over 120 gig now btw!

Glad it's not just me then! And that's with quite a few things not installed. To think that what seems like only yesterday, we sat wondering what it must be like to have a 1 GB hard drive and that even if we did, we would have nothing to fill it with.

Pah! got that beat - 414GB on one of my HD's!

ETA - Bought the Sega bundle pack (last time I played Ecco the Dolphin and Golden Axe, I had a full head of hair!), Fear 3 Anno 2070 and Endless space.

For those wondering if Sins of a Solar Empire is worth it, I would say yes! Very polished and addictive RTS - and I usually like turn based only - Sins is the exception.

I found this last night, bit of a bargain considering GTA IV alone is £4.99 on Steam!

I wouldn't bother personally, I was tempted by Wonderboy, but at £1.xx I thought it a bit steep. If you google you can download most Sega games now for free, as they're so old.
