Can someone please tell me how to fasten a fairly flat composite panel (roof) to the top of the roll cage on a sports prototype, so that it is removeable.

FWIW The car is a modified Noble P4.

Lugs with rivnuts in.

Or, flanges welded onto cage and/or panel taped on with 3M VHB

To bolt it means drilling through and the bolt heads visible on the outside.

I could use button head bolts, but it would be neater if all the fasteners were inside the car.

Laminating a bracket onto the panel is my current favourite, but it would be difficult to get a pro looking finish.

Use bond nuts on the inside of the panel that act as locating dowels into the lugs...

Stuck on with a two-part methacrylate adhesive.

Drilled brackets welded to cage and M6 k-nuts.

Could be a winner.

Bingo. Layer of light cloth over the top though, spread the stress a bit.

Does kevlar cloth fabric Satin Weave 175g with infusion resin sound about right?

If I cut patches off the roll, how do I make a hole in the middle without deforming the weave?
