If you are thinking "The prat steered onto the grass at 130mph" then you wouldn't be too far wrong. It looks like he actually put some right lock on, in the middle of that crazy fast left. The driving wasn't great anyway - most of the slower corners he was going in too fast and then correcting quite sharply to hit the apex. Not a quick way to drive.

So many people crash around that part of the track, but really touching the grass there was a bit of a lack of concentration.

Most important thing is that nobody got hurt. Loss of that A3 will certaily trouble the owner, but in the grand scheme of things the thing will not be missed. Not exactly a Cisitalia sent to the scrap here...

Perhaps talking to the passenger whilst doing 130+ wasn't a smart move. Personally I would be concentrating on the road.

Getting it wrong on the fastest part of the track - not good! Both driver and passenger walked away unhurt due to having the correct safety gear. Without the helmets, cage, seats, and harnesses it could have been a very different ending.
Without the helmets, cage, seats, and harnesses it could have been a very different ending, er no it wouldn't.

After 1st contact with the barrier, he spins back across the track, then back onto the grass. Glad he did the right thing and checked there were no fluid spills there before motoring on. rolleyes

Ah? He pulls it off the track on the grass to a service access. The right thing to do, leaving a car on the outside of that bend, is almost as bad as fluids on it.

In an Audi A3, I doubt this is the "fastest" part of the track - I think that car would likely be faster on the downhill into Fuchsrohre, but I suppose that is irrelevant given he lost it on the Aremberg approach.

I was expecting to see the usual Schwedenkreuz crash, but I've never seen anyone crash before turning left! I am obviously happy that they walked away but a wierd driving error.
