Evening all.

Have to take a car scrap over the coming weeks and I was wondering if anyone has any experience of breakers/scrap yards in the South East Wales area?

Anyone specific who I should give a call, to get the best price? Car in question is a Mk4 Fiesta if it matter.

Cheers all smile

just ring round all the scrap metal merchants. You should get £100-150 remove the battery as you can get £8-10 for that alone at a scrappy.

Just go online and fill in details and they'll send you a price.

I sold my Golf to a place in Barry for £150 and they came to get it. He was on the phone around 11pm about 10 minutes after I filled it in. You may get more going direct though as they have to pay a referral fee on the internet so may be better to ring.

If you take off the battery they tend to reduce the price.

Scrap prices have dropped quite a bit in the last few months, worth calling around a few places.
