Z4 coupe or 996

Idly browsing the classifieds, whilst half looking for a motor to play with whilst I rebuild the Chimaera it seems that around 11k would get me in a nice 08 3ltr z4 coupe or an 99-01 996 so Im half tempted. with the z4 looking like a bargain at half what I paid for my chim when it was 3 years old for only a year older..

I have to admit to fancying a z4 although the brand image does put me off a bit, and the 996 does seem to have a reputation in the engine department similar to the speed six in a tuscan!


Does any one have experience of both, how different are they and where would the smart money go..
