Thought I knew but am getting confused now....
Discussion
I really do try to keep up with up whats what in the Porsche world of 996 engine issues, but I seem a bit confused this time.
I thought that all 996s had potential IMS, d-chunking, bore scoring and ovaling of bores problems, but have just read otherwise on a different thread.
I understand the IMS issues but do I have to worry about bore scoring/ovaling or D-chunking on a 1999 996 3.4?

You've also got the threat of Mrdemon not liking your chosen spec & 911god trying to spread rumours its a ringer if you won't sell him it cheap enough.
It's a dangerous world out there!
I was under the impression that the oval/scoring of bores was more a problem on the cayman & 997's though?
