Does any one here know a Ferrari replica owner?

Was browsing cheap Ferraris, and wondered what sort of person buys an MR2 with a £10k ferrari body on it.

What are they like?
Edit: to clarify, id love to know what the owner is like, as a person. Not the car!

Some can be quite convincing I was at a show the other day and the Ferrari Replica owners club was there obviously these are the best of the best but some were very convincing.

Yup. Know someone with a 250 GTO rep. Sure, it's easy to tell it's a rep, but that's not the point. It's nicely executed and draws attention. It sits next to his 355 in the garage, a car which didn't start life as an MR2!

I don't know him as such more know of him. A chap around my way has a F458 replica based around a K plate MR2 ( although the number plate has been spaced to look like K 61 2HH (not actual plate but spacing to make the second and third numbers -61 look prominent)

The really strange thing is he traded a E46 M3 Cabriolet for it and I'm fairly certain his Mrs thinks it's the real deal.....

There are a few replicas around Gloucestershire as there is a company that has been building 355/360/458 reps for a few years now at around £20k a go!
