As it says, any recommendations? Preferably in Cheshire, Liverpool or Manchester areas.

Cheers!

I've had excellent service from Lloyds Autobody in Bootle (by Miller's Bridge).

They are a Porsche Approved Bodyshop and offer lifetime guarantee on work done.

They recently did my front screen on a 993 and did a superb job.

Road and Race Restorations in Bolton is one of the local Porsche Approved body shops.

I use a small two-man band back street place in Blackburn for all my requirements. They're just doing a colour change on a 997 from grey to orange...

Yours? Would like to see that!

Highly recommend Nick Gaskell at Gaskells, Blackburn. Lovely chap and has done some of the best paint work I've seen - recently fixed my Mum's Golf and another stunning job for very reasonable cost.

Thanks for your replies so far. I've had a quote from road and race but looking to benchmark it against others.

Car is a mint 36k mile 2001 996, so Porsche approved is not critical but I'm looking for a top notch job.

Out of interest, is it unusual to have a small amount of corrosion on the front wheel arches of a 2001 996? My car is absolutely mint and has clearly been looked after very well, but this is the one thing that lets it down.
I'd say it's not uncommon. The facelifted 996's had far better levels of rust protection.
