ok, now that the love goggles are dimming and i have been driving the Sag for a few days now i have started to notice a couple of issues.

namely: one or more of the cylinders is misfiring, hoping it's just a spark plug but i won't know till i get a chance to check it out (need a star key already frown any ideas where to get one? halfords?)

a rattle formed and sounded like it was coming from the back window. i checked that it was locked and secure and nothing was touching or moving. only managed to figure out what it was late last night.
the black plastic cover of the alan key bolt at the top of the back window was loose and vibrating against the window. it pretty much just came off in my hand (the other is firmly stuck down)
it appears to have been glued on with some sort of resin. any suggestions as to what i should use to glue it back on?

oh yeah, and the oil pressure is very high, sits at about 48-50 psi at all times, idling or moving. the guage is almost always maxed out.

The oil pressure appears to be good and what I would expect. Should be less than 1/2 that on hot idle though. smile

Oil pressure sensors have been known to be some what unreliable and can give spurious readings.

just wanted to update on this. the short version is that i am a rookie when it comes to TVRs and there is nothing wrong with the cylinders. its just a little rough from being cold, smooths out fine when warmed up. and the backfiring/popping is just the natural noise. my apologies for any confusion or slur i may have put on anyone.

just had the whole car detailed to be ready for a certain secret event this coming weekend, shiny pics will follow.
