would anyone with a 2.0l duratec mind having a look at what the AH and CCA [cold cranking amps] rating is on their battery and post here? i'd be hugely grateful.

i want to buy a lighter unit whilst i'm in the uk at the weekend but i forgot to check before i left the uae frown

a gts clubman [caterham copy]. track only, so only additional electrics other than the engine are front and rear lights [no indicators either], might be moving to a digital dash soon though.

A website search for a Mondeo yields a huge variety from 490/50 "standard" up to premium batteries with 650/70 so basically any that will fit.

Well, it probably wants an 075 shape battery in most of its applications, though an 096 would fit.

For your case, anything of 500A and 55Ah will be fine.

just been looking at varley red top batteries.

their own website states that the 15 is fine for this application, 15ah and 156 cca

these are £90 and weigh 5.4kg.

therefore, is there any reason i can't use either of these? much lighter for not a huge amount more:

will the varley be ok? any other alternatives? sorry to pester but i am useless with electrics.
