Visited OPC Portsmouth today; only been open a week or so. Quite a few stock new Boxsters ad 911s in although interestingly no Caymans. Very nice facilities and team seem very helpful and friendly. Asked about classic servicing and rang me back quite pomptly this afternoon. Wonder of OPC Bournemouth will now shut?

One of the sale's exec had previously run Porsche outlet in Kuwait and was fomer 964 Turbo driver; came out to look at my car. Seemed a real enthusiast.

I doubt Bournemouth will shut, think this fills a hole in the dealer network for us in the area. As we're slap bang in the middle of Bournemouth and Guildford. Hoping for an official opening evening with some free food biggrin

Maybe but I hear that plans are in for the redevelopment of the b'mouth site and quite a few of the staff have been given a choice of redundancy or transfer to P'Mouth.

Ah ok, obviously newer news than mine, I heard it was a supplement of the bournemouth site, would surprise me if they shut that one down, couldnt move for Porsches when I last went to Bournemouth.

I had "expressed an interest" prior to the Portsmouth opening, but never heard anymore about it. Bournemouth, I would never use again. Last year they failed my cars MOT due to it being too loud - which is purely up to the tester, not MOT regs. They also handed me my car back with damaged paintwork when I was getting new window seals fitted.

Once bitten - twice shy!

Certainly Portsmouth fills a huge gap as I am on the South coast and closest is Guildford followed by Burgess Hill and Bournemouth. Inchcape have obviously recognised a considerable market around Pompey/Southampton and Chichester. Personally I would be very surprised if Bournemouth closed. Should be an open evening soon and only 15 minutes away as opposed to an hour and a quarter.

I popped in on Thursday for a look around. Was very open that I only came for a nose and to be honest, they couldn't have been friendlier and helpful. Gave me a tour around, including the back of house areas and were genuinely interested in me and my car; which is only an old 996.2 and overall I came away extremely impressed.
