SLK 280(R171)

Picking up a SLK 280 with command but it appears to have no iPod connector fitted but does have phone prep(if that makes a difference).
Does anybody know if this can be retro fitted?
I have found a kit on line for £129 but not sure if that's what I need?
Appreciate any advice anybody can offer

Check in the glovebox, there may be an AUX-in point, simple lead into the headphone socket of your Ipod does the trick.

That won't allow the iPod to be controlled or charged though will it?

I think what you need is a Media Interface. I'm lead to believe they're not dear but don't know how much they are. If you find out can you let us know?
