Off to Zurich Friday, going to get there in one day from the South coast in the UK - stopping off, and then on to Zagreb.

Looking for some excellent driving roads - and Col du Grand St Bernard is just too far out of my way - as it's 3 hours from Zurich.

What other roads are there near Zurich which are just as fun? smile

Thanks

Zurich is about 7 hours from Calais using Autoroute + Autobahn so you wont have that much time for diversions. Basil to Zurich is relatively flat (in Swiss terms).
Not very much help but brings your post back to the top. wink

Safe drive.

Loads of options from Zurich, but you'll have to drive for at least an hour to get near the good stuff.
Head to Altdorf, then you have the Susten, Grimsel, Furka, Gotthard, Nufenen, Oberalp and Klausen passes all available to you. Head towards Chur, the towards Italy, and you have the likes of the Fluela, Ofen, Umbrail passes, which lead towards Stelvio.
I suggest you head over the the Switzerland section and ask, as there are a few Zurich based PHers that will know the other options available to you (I'm based in Basel, so don't get out to the mountains quite so often).
