ok guys, I have been approached by the organisers of this event and will copy and paste the message direct.

Car-Fest North is the dream of Chris Evans, a perfect family festival encompassing his love for cars, music and food: in fact fun for all the family, to be held at Cholmondeley Castle on the 7th – 9th September 2012.

This includes the club stand (20 x 5m) 7 Saturday & 7 Sunday (adult) passes for each club.

All the cars need to be on site by 8am to gain access to their club pitch, and would be unable are able to leave till after 6pm.

Hi Dom

I should be there, but will be with Sporting Bears doing the Dream Rides. Hopefully I'll have some free time, so should be able to catch up with you over the weekend.

Cheers

You've got to hire their gazeebo if yours loggo'd ??? No club banners permitted and £100 + Vat to sit down at a show that YOU are contributing to. That's over £50 per person, twice the price of this year's entry fee to Chumly Pageant Of Power (arguably a better event) and over three times the price that car clubs were being asked to pay per head.
'Pay to display' shows are bad enough but this is a complete rip off.

Booooo! I have already bought a ticket and will be bringing the Ultima!

Anyway all for charity ... and the stand price actually seems good value - £30 each for 2 days and one setup day. Also only £100 for camping. The glamping tickets where £2500 at this late stage!

Hope to see you all on the stand.

Asked to exhibit my car at a local small car show in aid of their church. 50 cars in a church yard amongst the graves!!!!
Mine will be positioned next to a 1904 Renault London to Brighton veteran - old and new(ish) side by side to show what 100 years can do.

A bit of an honour to be asked as they have had some very tasty metal in the past. Genuine C Type with race history, Maharajah's Rolls Royce, Astons, Bentleys, Alfa's, etc. etc.

Even put a pic of my car on the poster!!!!!

Oh, and no fee to exhibit either and just 4 miles from home.

I am off to dunsfold wings and wheels again this year. Fab air show and loads of cars. In return for me doing the "demo runs" down the runway I get free admission for me and a passenger. Great event......and the chance to blast down the runway at 170mph......accompanied by everything from old bentleys to 90s F1 and le mans car.....

i understand all the frustration.

I entered the hill climb at the Chris Evans Car fest North. I felt after all the years of representing Cholmondley Pagent and Power(im very passionate about supporting them as they offer a fantastic event and so nice)and thought I would be proud and thrilled at gaining an entry too to the hill climb...
Well after 3 emails asking if Ive been excepted still heard nothing what so feel frustrated too....

So sorry guys I was invited to apply for this event and now I feel ive let you down... I was feeling great an Ultima had been entered and I could represent you all(after all its still the best value supercar in the world)...but sorry too late now to prepare the car for a hillclimb..

I wish Cholmondley and Chris Evans the best of luck as there are so many charity events i help with , but the lack of communication at this time has caused me to not have the car ready in time... Such a shame as Im a Peugeot employee who supports Children in Need too...

The worse thing is also I havent bought tickets to the event either...
Initally I wanted to go anyway but was told at the time my entry would be accepted so didnt bother,,, now i have no entry and its too late to go and watch too..

Either way Children and Need has lost out, and for that reason I feel bad as charity needs our input.

On a possitive note as a club(supercardriver) we raised over £2500 just visiting Sheffield last week in a charity event for the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.

So Hope I can help out in future years.. at Cholmondly..

Dom
