Guys
Looking for an opinion here thinking about getting the guys from Elite to refurb the wheels on the GT2, not that they are in bad condition but the odd chip/scratch irritates me.
I was thinking GT Silver instead of the standard, what do you think?

Everytime I see a 6GT2 it just reminds me how perfectly proportioned they are ..... beautiful

If it was mine I would keep it standard

i think a dark gray would look pretty sharp with the dark blue. black clashes.

else, just keep it stock.

GT silver looks very nice on wheels on a dark blue car IMO - better than standard brighter silver

Good question maybe wrong.
The guys come to your house remove all wheels put some replacements on come back with your old wheels within a week. They were at the recent TIPEC annual show, its exel or elite

Chris Weaver Exel Wheels. He's the best in the business. Just had two sets done by him for my 968CS.

Whilst I love GT Silver for the 997 body I would definitively keep the wheels of your 6GT2 standard. What a great car!

Yeah i know i've seen his work. Mate of mine at RPM suggested them to me and then i met him at the show better than factory finish.

Do it.

They look fantastic on my Uncles' 996 Turbo S, which is also a dark colour.

GT Silver cool

I'm a stickler for originality, especially for the correct Fuchs wheels and finish on pre-89 911s.

But, the later painted wheels have always allowed a degree of personal discretion.

And, I really think the colour combination of your car, with the yellow calipers, would definitely suit GT Silver. It's only a few shades darker than Arctic, and of course it could be easily reversed at a future date

Thats what i thought and like you i'm into originality and always have been
That said the Midnight Blue yellow caliper and darker shade will look pretty sweet IMO

I'm going for GT silver when I get my 996T wheels done (by Exel). Just a bit more subtle.
