I’m begging a favour, guys.

A friend is getting married at Pollock House in October (saturday 20th, to be exact) and I wondered whether anyone would be up for giving her and the bridesmaids a ride to the wedding in style? Picking up in the morning from Knightswood.

Might need a couple of cars, actually. One for the bride and her Dad, another for the two bridesmaids. Preferably interesting cars with back seats, otherwise I’d be doing it myself. She’s squeezed into the back of the Porker once and swore never again!

I’d happily hand over a bottle of whisky or similar to say thanks for the favour, by the way—don’t expect this sort of thing for free!

(May or may not attempt tying white ribbons to the car(s), or something similar. If appropriate.)

Any volunteers?

I can do a mercedes ml320 (57 plate) if you want. Silver coloured, would look good with ribbons on.

If they are to go in the back, I would imagine the OP would prefer a 4-door.

And, as kind as the offers are, I doubt the VXR8's are what the OP had in mind...

Hi, i could propbably do it, I live not too far from Knightswood and have an immaculate silver E-Class with the light grey leather that I've done a few weddings for people in that past with. If you need pics emailed over just let me know.

Kind regards

Ax

I literally just heard back from the lady in question this morning.

She’s decided not to bother with being driven to the venue after all, so all bets are off. D’oh!

Thanks a million for all the offers and suggestions guys. I appreciate it.

Apparently the planner at the venue recommended that she be there an hour before the guests … so rather than turn up in style, she’s just going to book a couple of black cabs.

C’est la vie. (I was rooting for the two VXR8s—loads of room in the back, nice and comfy, gorgeous noise for the spectators!)

Just a total thread drift - is your username "Mon the fish" or "month e fish" or just as it reads? Don't get it confused

No, they wouldn't.

They look like chavved up minicabs.
