Tidy solution that. I can vouch for the suction cup provided with the camera. 4 laps of the Le Mans circuit at the Classic meet a couple of weeks ago including a minor "moment" and a couple of trips over the rumble strips and never came close to letting go

Beware..... I have some proper radio miss - £500 a pot - Now I wanted to do what you wanted to do and record both my mates - pair of Sags! I placed the mic inside one of the Sag and the Sag was just TOO noisy for the miss. Of course, the miss could be adjusted, I'm sure with a lot of fiddling it can be sorted. But we TVR owners are used to the noise unlike the radio miss! If you get my drift. Be prepared to practise practise and practise. Hence me playing with the still images now before we (4 - TVRs) go to France. You've got one chance - go for it!Incidentally what mic did you get, the thought has gone through my head to get a cheap option (purely for convenience), Sony or Olympus but I don't think you have any sound level control - which is vital when playing about with the noise that Tivs give!

Yeah, I'll second that! Again in France - used the suction pad - like you never came off. BUT you can't put the suction pad on cloth! Hence just getting a different angle and of course the sheer convenience of squeezing the clamp to remove and placing it the other side of the targa top - all with in a jiffyHere you go gents.

That is an absolutely cracking angle. :thumb up: I am going to have to get my finger out and create the DIY mount.On the subject of mics I am having a nightmare trying to find one suitable for the Tiv. I have tried 3 so far and all pic up a static noise sound. I have spoken with GoPro and they have suggested a powered mic.
I have an Audio-Technica ATR-3350 on order.... not sure if it will solve the issue but these get good reviews from others and at £23 from Amazon certainly worth a punt.

The noise inside from the drivetrain alone buggers it all up. I now run the system on the absolute lowest mic setting but suspect if I moved a mic to the rear of the car to get the real note then it would just distort again.
And my car is much quieter inside than most.

Fluffy mic cover is normally a good move - hence TV journalists etc always using them - but I would be interested to know IF you get one to fit the mic in question - if you find one can you post a pic on here as I would be interested in seeing the fitting and of course 'hearing' or posting your report of the sound results thereafter. I'm going to give it a test run on the M5 as i have a new Eisserman race exhaust which sounds very F1 on the V10
I now set a challenge to all of you Gopro users - not saying that my picture is the best camera angle - but I would be most interested to see further images using the Gopro that could be a better angle than what I have got.
That's not meant to sound 'big headed' - just always looking for the more interesting camera angle and how it was achieved. Hence sharing my images with you guys.

My current mic setup for the GoPro2 is an M-Audio T-microphone located in the boot.

The sound is much better than the internal GoPro mic which IMO sounds as if it is underwater all the time. But it has a fair bit of static over the top which I believe to be due to the volume of the car.
Go Pro have looked at the video and advised that I use a powered mic. The one I have order is powered and recommended by other car owners so hopefully it should do the job. I will post up another video once I have the new mic.
Looking forward to hearing the M5 V10 video Christian. One of those very cars absolutely destroyed my Griff down the motorway this year. I got up to 135 leptons and thought better of the idea of going any faster, pulled in and it went past like I was standing still. It sounded like an F1 car. Crazy!
