4 week holiday around Christmas - other than Thailand

Any suggestions for a holiday around Christmas - approximate 4 weeks, basically Thailand ticks all the boxes but done it twice before. I know the obvious choices would be Vietnam / Cambodia / Laos / Goa? But are they as good? Better? Basically want it cheap enough to live it up in moderate comfort for a month, good food, not too dodgy, able to do the odd activity such as jet skiing.

Maybe S. America for a wild card suggestion ?

South Africa. Too many things to do to list but Cape Town, Kruger, wine regions are obvious choices.
