You need to have a nice 'gentle drive' down this road and then explore the area, some great driving to be done smile

Well that's tomorrow sorted then - would you follow it all the way to Petersfield?

I ended up exploring Swanmore and beyond and ended up finding one very good stretch of road from Durley back to within a mile of my house (Chancellors Lane). Sadly a tad muddy still after all this rain, but good for future reference!

I normally just hop off the M27, down the Morestead road, along to the Meon Hut, down the '272 back to Winch then through there to Romsey and back to Bournemouth via Lyndhurst and the A35 smile

Where in hedge end are you? I'm there too, the wife's out tomorrow and I've got half a tank of fuel in an M3 that, coincidentally, needs using before it goes off.....

Sorry for the delayed reply - I live in Botley technically. Also have half a tank and no plans today as the OH has exams to revise for....

I'll keep an eye on here for the next couple of hours on the off chance... smile

Morning! Turns out she's got plans for me today :-(. I have a 'to do' list and I think it's going to be a long one, so no hooning today unfortunately.

I'll join you next time though!!

And this was the route taken...

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Botley,+Hamps...

Was a lot of fun - but did get caught behind a caravan briefly, and by a motorcycle school. But otherwise very rewards. The Morestead Roas was fooking brilliant though smile

Didn't take 1 hour 34 either...*ahem*

They rarely do, Google Maps suggested it would take nigh on 4 hours to get to my SIL's in Swansea, I knocked over half an hour off that.

and I got held up in Shaftsbury by the Olympic torch.
