Belgian GP Newbie - Tickets & Parking

Thinking of going over to Spa for the F1 this year whilst over at the Nurburgring, was just wondering though what's the best way to go about tickets and parking?

My question is, is it pretty easy to find the parking areas and what's the walking distance like to the circuit. I don't want to end up getting wound up and stressed just trying to find the car park!!

What tickets have you got for the race? if youre general admission I would suggest the green zone parking. its a two minute walk from les combes, where in my opinion is within short walking distance of all the best ga view points.

Car parking tickets for this area are €16 from the offical track website and are emailed to you. The car park is just a field so car get a bit muddy when it rains!

I cant advise on anything other than offical parking sorry as ive only been once, but gold parking is a fair walk from the track!

First time at Spa this year.I have general admission tickets for Sat and Sun and would like peoples views where to watch and ideally by a big screen.

I watched from Les Combes on race day last year. Great place to watch from. No big screen, but totally worth it for the view you get of the cars.

Spent qually and practice days wandering around - watched from Eau Rouge (ish), Les Combes, no name, the run in to Rivage and Pouhon.

As for parking, we camped in Beverce, parked on the road that leads up to Bernister (no bother, all weekend) and walked from there (probably 2-3 miles).

ETA: Very jealous by the way. Such an incredible experience. Have some chips, they're ridiculous.

We have parking with GA tickets this year. I'll check where the car park is. I'm desperately hoping it's hard standing otherwise my old man will spend the whole time whinging about getting his car muddy/stuck.

I dont think any of the official parking is hard standing, yellow and green were grass. Not sure about the other (red?)

We basically bumbled into the site last year. Drove down and parked somewhere near the track, it was very well organised. First day we were up at La Source, second day the complete opposite end down past Stavelot. Both times we were literally minutes from the track.

My top number one tip with general admission tickets would be to buy a decent pair of walking boots. The track is MASSIVE and you won't want to stay in one place, as you can pretty much walk the entire lap. Get a decent chair with a strap to carry or better yet just a rucksack and a car floormat, then you can perch wherever you want. Food isn't too easy to come by unless you want waffles covered in wasps, so take some sandwiches or something and a bottle of water.
