So, it seems as nearly everyone here agrees that the current fashion of having cars in BROWN is awful.

Why do people order cars in that colour? I once had a 450SEL in "Mlian Brown" (=nutmeg turd metallic). What do people think????? "Oh, this is SO retro/Chalet style/organic! Like Tyler Brulée on wheels!" ??????

I like them too. Infinitely better than grey, silver or white.

Sorry, me too, the right car in the right brown can look fantastic, I think more would go for it but they go for resale favourites.

How long before someone gets in with the scatological reference ?

I like brown cars, I present the 'brown bomber' as our family call it.

My grandad had a brown P6 and it was awful but now I think it was actually a nice looking motor.
In the 80s you would have scoffed at someone in an E21 or E28 in brown but now they look awesome, same goes for old mercs!!! Totally mint! I'd even have a brown RS2000!!!
Would I buy a brand new brown car? Would I bks!

I like brown cars, though it'd have to be a darker metallic. 70's BL st brown isn't nice to look at. Much better than resale grey, or recession white.

I saw a newish M3 earlier in the most disgusting sludgy greenish-brown metallic. I can only assume it had been colour-matched to something which had come out the arse of a dying dog. Why people specify cars in these foul colours I don't know.

I'm really starting to like these brown cars! Especially a metallic brown that BMW, Mercedes and Volvo offer. Looks a bit...timeless, maybe classless? Certainly smarter than Dubai/Credit Crunch white!

I dont see why it really matters to people what colour other people spec new cars that they are paying their hard earned money for?
If you dont like it dont buy it simple really isnt it?

How dull a world would it be if everyone went out and bought the same colour cars.

Oh fk off! You don't HAVE to look at anything. I am sure your car is the automotive equivalent of a Piccasso is it?

saw a new A4 cabrio today wrapped (presumably) in MATT BROWN, like a massive open-topped turd
