Not sure if its just over fueling but I can see crap coming out the exhaust when on boost.

Might even have a bit of blue in it. What could it be?

Sounds like tubo seals gone. If you have a proper exhaust system it's easy to tell which turbo it is, but if you have the OEM exhaust it isn't!

Hmmm, shouldn't be seals. had the turbos refurbed on 6k ago when I had engine rebuilt.

Can only see it when on full boost so can't see which one its coming from.

Normally turbo seals will smoke on idle only.. smoke on boost could be the rings

I hope not as it was only rebuilt last year with new pistons and rings?

Could be head still lifting a bit?

Mines been smoking a bit as well, checked oil level was prob half a liter over filled didnt know wether that is the prob or Turbos,
Again turbos were rebuilt about 6000 miles ago along with the engine.
I did wonder wether it might be the forged pistons fitted as ive herd they can pass a bit of oil?
But runs supperbly so not going to bother until the winter!!

Can you find what colour it is, blue is oil burnt in the combustion chamber, black is excess fuel and blue/grey is oil burnt in the exhaust (past the turbo seals). I've had turbo seals passing oil on high boost before, you can diagnose this by getting it to smoke, turn it off and drop off the downpipe and check for oil. Focus RS used to do this a lot on the standard turbo with exhaust derestricted and boost raised.

Smoke out of mine seems to be blue /grey, but as the oil level has droped down to the full mark on dip stick she isnt smoking no where near as much, i think the guy i got it from had over filled it!!
Do Forged pistons tend to burn a bit of oil?
And oh boy getting warm in the cockpit now ,loads of sunshine and bloody aircon keeps blowing a fuse!!
So next best thing open windows and drive even faster!!!

I think your bei g paranoid. Mine smokes a bit wen on full boost more of a haze than anything. Which is just a bit extra fuel. You wouldn't want it running lean on boost.

Ditto - probably a bit of TADS.

Now if you want a smoky car on full throttle, you should see the Ur-Quattro. Harry Potter's car has nothing on me the smoke it generates, especially if it's a humid day wink

Personally I wouldn't be happy with that. My mega rich track car doesn't chuff out that kind of smoke although it's visible out of the pipe when you follow it it's never enough to see in the mirror. Also, my 3 used to black smoke a bit and is now spot on following the remap, but never anything like that.
Has it used any oil and if so how much for how many miles?

Actually its hard to tell as I do have a slight oil leak once the car is warm. This leak is getting outside the engine so can't get into the exhaust.

Need to get that fixed first.

The oil usage would be a good indicator to start with, I suspect some oil is passing the turbo seals.
