Spotted-blue Chim Tuesday near Danehill R reg

Was trundling along in my "classic" in Ashdown forest and found myself behind this chim strictly keeping to the 40mph limit which I usually ignore.Owner gave me a cheerful wave which I returned. I kept a respectful distance to acknowledge the difference in our status (I'm an 'umble man guv) then on a straight stretch he put his foot down and I was truly astonished by the acceleration---I raised some sort of a gallop in the ancient one but he was a spot at the end of the straight in about ten seconds. If you are the owner of this car please let me know:
1) what chim--thought I saw a 500 badge
2) modified?
3) what speed did you actually reach on that straight? It was clearly below the missile's lift off speed as you slowed and turned off
