455 cubic inches of GM goodness, very tidy looking too.

Nice. I had a more humble '68 F85 Cutlass, with a 350ci 'Rocket', as my first American car - loved it, but it was something of a rot box. This one looks really good, but pay close attention to the condition of the boot floor and the rear vallance seam which is hidden behind the rear bumper. I'd also want to know what's lurking under those front seat covers.
However, if it is as described in that ad, it's not factory. The stock 442 (4bbl/4speed/dual exhaust) has a 400cid motor with a Rochester Quadrajet carb. The only 455ci option was the Hurst 442 - and if that was one it would be 3 times the price being asked.
Not taking anything away from the car, because it's sweet - but not factory, if that is indeed a 455 motor (I'm not certain it is).

Alternatively, a MX-5 with a "Lump" ocnversion (i.e. a Chevy Big Block engine) could also do the job. It corners nicely!

Could be a mis-described Hurst like you say.

Now, if I can just convince the missus to take in another muscle car wink

If it was a Hurst/Olds 442 it would be worth around $75k. It most definitely isn't one.

Nice! Is that the same make as the car from the demolition man?
