Folks,

Me and the good lady are going backpacking in China/SE Asia starting in around a month.
We'll be visiting HK about the time of our 2 year anniversary together.
I'd like to take her for a spectacular dinner to celebrate.
I'm thinking a spectacular location or fantastic Hong Kong cultural experience with great food.
We'll eat anything and are staying in Causeway Bay, so somewhere downtown would be perfect.

From my research, Cafe 103 at the Ritz Carlton really appeals for it's food and location, so something around that budget for a one-off dinner experience would be great.

We won't have posh clothes as we'll be filthy backpackers for the rest of our trip, so ideally somewhere where wearing jeans and a shirt won't make us look like lost paupers would be nice. hehe

Thanks in advance.

It's not cheap and it's quite "dressy" (you could still get away with smart jeans and a shirt) but the Floating Jumbo Restaurant would be something you wouldn't forget. It's in Aberdeen Harbour, you could get a bus or taxi from Causeway Bay and then the restaurant's free water taxi to the restaurant itself.
The Peninsular Hotel's afternoon tea is something special and the Luk Yu Teahouse on Stanley Street HK Island is great for lunch, and Cicada in SoHo for somewhere cool to eat in the evening. For seafood, try the Rainbow Restaurant at the far end of the strip on Lamma Island (Sok Kwu Wan ferry).
For drinks, the Aqua Spirit bar in the Peking 101 Tower has incredible views over Victoria Harbour.

Another recommendation for the Luk Yu Teahouse on Stanley. I have been going there since I was 5. It has been there since 1933, which is basically the dawn of time for HK, and is an absolute institution. You must go.

Thanks everyone.
Just under 2 months until I'm in HK.
Can't wait to go back.

Good man. The Dim Sum in the Luk Yu Teahouse is probably the best in the World. No B.S.

It looks phenomenal on their website.
All the reviews/blogs I've seen say it's brilliant.
