No and it won't get it, as 2000 road versions of the base car need to be produced. National homologation is going to be its limit.
There has got to be an argument for small manufactureres to get a break on the limits for number of road cars. its easy for someone like aston or porsche with a huge customer base to build and sell enough cars, but not the smaller guys like mosler, chevron, ginetta probably even morgan not sure how tvr managed it with t400 at Lemans and alms etc

Its pending according to website, and the Ginetta G55 is FIA. Im not sure if its international though. With regards to power, the Ginetta had 50 less I think and that was competitive.
Any one know the wieght?

There are no (or very few) G55 road cars so that won't be FIA homologated either - National only. We went through all this with the Mosler when trying to get that into GT3. Ascari got in during the first year of GT3 regs, but the manufacturers (notably Jaguar, the least successful of all the GT3 manufacturers by some margin) pushed the FIA and SRO to ensure a minimum production figure of 2000 units for the base vehicle - not the race car, just the basic chassis like a standard Porsche 911. When that requirement was ratified, the small manufacturers didn't stand a chance (aside from Ascari, as the regulation was not applied retrospectively). All that was left was National homologation. With regards to power, the Ginetta had 50 less I think and that was competitive.

In some ways it's a good thing because it stops cars like the Maserati MC12 (or similar) finding their way into what is supposed to be a production-based category, but it also stops the little manufacturers getting in.

Yeah thought as much.In some ways it's a good thing because it stops cars like the Maserati MC12 (or similar) finding their way into what is supposed to be a production-based category, but it also stops the little manufacturers getting in.
The Chevron, the Ginetta G55 (and the G50 in GT4) and (possibly - I'm not sure of the production details) the Mosler should be Britcar cars and not British GT cars unless there is a certain min produced. I fully accept that small manufacturers need a break to get in and so, perhaps, there should be some rule that allows manufacturers such as Noble to homologate cars if they can show that there total annual manufacturing output is less than, say, 1000 cars in 3 years, but they should still have to prove that a minimum number of road cars , say 20, have been built solely for road use.

they're nice. Anthony Reid got one up the Goodwood course in the fastest time this year to get 'King of the hill', a few run in Britcar endurance too.
