Ok this should probably be in the lounge but i'm loooking for a bit of Craic.

I don't know who is doing it but the odd morning I wake up only to find the mirrors on the snotter either pushed right in or pulled right back.

I will hopefully have a camera rigged up this week but I want to prank the fecker back and hopefully catch it on camera and then when I challenge them about it I can really take the piss. There is no damage but it would seem someone is trying to make a point and I want it nipped in the bud before it escalates.

Please note I do all I can to try and park properly and be a good neighbour and there are plenty of other snotter cars parked on the road and footpaths, some are parked inconsiderately but havn't been touched (that I know of).

Never had a problem in 6 years of living here and my other cars have not been touched.

Was thinking of smearing some sort of pungent smelling crap to the mirror or something.

All ideas welcome but keep it legal wink

Double sided tape on the mirror, with an obscured note stuck on, but the person has to be able to grab it when they feel it. You can write something like "I know who you are", or something more explicit if you wish. hehe

just do the same to them

they will then know you're on to them, but won't want to say anything or confront the issue in case it wasn't you.

Wire the snotter up to the main and simply wait to see which of your neighbours smell a bit singed.

Noone should be interferring with your snotter! Its just not cricket to mess with anothers mirrors!

The rule of vandalism goes... if your car's new, well cared for or a sports car of some description, or deemed 'flash' then it must be vandalised.

The second rule is... if your car is old, old but well cared for, a snotter, shed or just simply deemed fit for further abuse then again it must be vandalised.

Basstards!

Cut a hot chilli in half and rub it all over the mirrors. The quality of revenge then depends on their next move, be it rubbing their eye, picking their nose, or going to the toilet!

Ask politely why they're doing it? Then endeavour to work out a compromise if they feel they're being blocked in or something.

Honestly, if it's your snotter, why be so defensive? For the record, I don't agree with your neighbours methods.

A 00:50 first post tends to be someone on the drink, so I hope you don't sober up & decide not to go through with it!

Definatly keeping an eye on this thread if you're rigging up a camera :thumbup;

So you're going to smear st on your own car to stop people touching it?

This has potential.

Mirrors fine this morning. Got caught out last Monday as I pulled onto the motorway only to realise the mirror was pulled right out.

Looking at cameras on Amazon.

Does it coincide with bin day? I had this happening to my car one morning. left for work after the bin men had come and gone and noticed my mirror was folded up. As I have a camera up, I just looked back and the guy just pushed my mirror up in order to make way for the bin truck to reverse into our street...

That looks really good for the price. What's the quality like? I know it says HD but often the pic isn't great.

Does it record video with the motion detect or stills.

Thanks for posting that.

Video is very good quality, and it records sound too. I wanted it as I drive to work down some narrow country lanes, and often meet other cars driving way too fast on roads that are barely wide enough for 2 cars. It breaks the video up into a series of 2 minute files, and when the SD card is full it overwrites the oldest file.

Despite what it says on Halfrauds website though, the SD card is not included, and when I asked them to send it as it was not in the package I received, they were less than helpful. All in all though, I'm happy with the camera.

You should have seen the thread on someone's van blocking a drive way. I'm surprised that someone hasn't suggested they fire bomb the suspects's house.

If that is all that's happening to the OP's car, then they should be grateful.

I would just go round to the neighbour's house and ask them why they are doing it. I certainly wouldn't want to escalate things to unnecessary levels.
