Can't help......but just had mine done at the garage I use, two words "bloody fantastic"

I don't think I'll be using fifth gear much, at 70 it sounds awesome.

They're a Land Rover cone, male at the manifolds and female at the centre section.

What decats are they?

AJP on decats sounds like it has an entire firework display lodged up it's pipes.

Great photo - but no chance of getting on a track.

I have Cats and a Sports exhaust and was told I was about to be black flagged on a 105dB Drive By last month. Yes a Drive By!

I had these made up by a local exhaust fabricator and the cats modded so I can slot them back in to the rest of my system if needed.

The sound is deep and not raspy any more at all like the old system I had. Still fairly loud but very usable day to da, Unlike my old chim where you could not hold a conversation at 70mph. The cerb is nearly silent in 5th, Give it some more RPM and evil

I am waiting for a new HD Camera to come, when it does arrive I will make a few videos for the sound smile

Does anyone have a pick of the underside of a SP6 with Cat's on?

I have no idea if mine is decatted, but can only guess it is from the noise and th size of the pipes, but I'm not sure how think the cat's are.

here's mine:

Your cat is still in it is the box at the very front of the engine.

Thank you very much Scotty! Learn something new every day smile

Heaven knows how loud it would be if it were decatted

Just had the 12k service done including tappets and shims and asked the garage I used to
replace with standard pipe, done locally. Now traffic hear me coming 50m in front of me, which
leaves them enough time to move out the way. My mate has a decatted cerb with 3" pipes front
to back, didn't stop him around Spa, and sounded amazing.

I am not sure if the sp6 has 2 cats or just one but i know for sure that one up there is a cat. The biggest thing i noticed when i de-catted my AJP was the in cabin heat has reduced so so so so much when stuck in traffic. smile I went the silenced de-cat route to make it a little quieter, Still loud but as i said above great on a run not intrusive at all.

I think I will be having a word with Kevin at Zero Exhausts to make up a system for me.. I'll be honest, I LOVE the noise mine makes, but every time I see an orificer of the law my bumhole does an impression of a rabbit's nose atm..

Just try not to make any police officers feel unwelcome here, they are very knowledgeable and often extremely forthcoming, which is very useful for us all.

The current edition of Practical Classics features a 4.5 Cerb and the owner is a retired traffic police officer...

Is that how my post came across?! I have no issue with the police, just worried they wont like my Cerbera.

I read it as you intended. I have, however, just invoked disapproving looks from Mrs Fubes as I spat my coffee onto he carpet on reading your rabbit's nose analogy rofl

There are 2 cats on the SP6, one directly above the other, but on the SP6 it is is possible to knock the cats out of the existing Cat to de-cat, so it might look like the normal cats but they could be hollow inside!! If it pops and bangs there is a good chance it is de-catted but take one of to be sure, as Scotty says you do get a reduction in temperature which is good for the chassis as they are very close.
Tomej, you have a different back box to my SP6, I have a long back box with 2 tail pipes coming out maybe this is where you are getting the additional sound from.
