Well - sad day. The SEAC has gone
Price wise I got what I wanted and I've enjoyed 12 months fun and got my money back - can't be bad. I could have hung around for a bit more but "bird in the Hand " and all that.
Thanks for all the advice and info and particularly to "thegamekeeper" for putting a potential customer on to me - I have passed him on to Neil H as my car went to a chap in Essex.
He's not a Wedge fan but a SEAC enthusist but I'm sure you guys will welcome and educate him in to Wedge-dome!
Tatty early 350i and SEAC style Racer still in the garage so am still here!

Sold mine at the weekend as well! It was sad to see it go but after eleven years it seemed time for a change.

Order now placed for T350C. Just got to last until January without a TVR.

At least it sounds like the SEAC went to a genuine enthusiast.

It's new home is Kenton (NW London). It's new owner seems really enthusiastic about it and is a colleague of a friend, so I'll be able to hear how he's getting on.

A little bit of info for anyone interested in putting together the history of all the SEACs - the new owner was talking to Mark Adams the other day (wanted to find out how much more power he could get from the engine) and with him was somebody who worked in the factory back in the days of the SEACs. He confirmed (as I believed) that there were only two left hookers ever built. As I know that the other SEAC exported to Saudi was written off then it confirms this as the only left hand drive SEAC remaining.

A little puzzle though. Apparently one was white and one black. Mine was the black one - but the one in the article in the TVR Gold Portfolio (Brooklands Books), which isn't white (black and white photo!), has different wheels and different reg to my old one... Maybe the plate was faked for the photo and the car had its wheels changed before exporting...?

Well, If "left hookers" means LHD we have at least 2 420SEAC and one 450SEAC in Sweden...

Tas -

Both sorry and glad to see you have sold SEAC - sorry because you have parted with it and glad because you wanted to sell it.

If I'd sold the Ferrari I might have had it - two yellow wedges eh!

I too tried to get hold of you at BBWF but kept missing you.

Cheers!

Gary, sorry I mean Tas,

Glad you did the deal, as I guess you'll be buying the beer in the Majors for everybody all weekend ??

Does the sale mean, I've got the loudest TVR in the village now ??

Bishy.

How could you sell his inheritance? this could have a deep pschycological effect on him. You have only yourself to blame if he grows up wanting a Toyota

Bishy,
Yep! Can't afford beer - got no job remember!
Steve,
It's a shame as we had a 4 cyl Ford, V6 Rover and the V8 SEAC and my lad used to say car for the hacks and say Car and growl when he saw the SEAC. It was great for getting stuff done in the garage as he'd sit in the SEAC for hours. Mind I had to disconnect the battery otherwise the lights went up and down for an hour!!
Dare I say a twin bike engined car may be next!!
