Well got another job done on the car over the weekend. After much searching I finally managed to pin down a set of the correct size and vented front brake discs for the set up on my car. Many thanks to Alex (Al350i)for supplying the correct ones! Got some decent Ferrodo pads and there was a bit of a search for the correct anti squeal shims! Anyway all the bits were finally here, the weather was booked, so let work commence..

The old ones had a bit of lip so time to change..

Hub cap off, split pin out and replace with new, washers bearing and race out. Remove the pad support pins and split pins, pad spring off and withdraw the pads with their shims. Remove the two caliper mounting bolts and locking tabs and support the caliper on a bungy. Clean of the stub axle and check for wear / blueing

Attach the wheel nut plate and torque down and some thread lock

Note the correct anti squeal shims and refit use some copper grease on the pads and the shims. Clean the the new discs with brake cleaner.
