Can anybody help? I've had the DB9 at the body-shop for chips away and now its back the driver and passenger seat will go foreword and not back, tilt up but not down and the backrests will not operate at all? I've checked the fuses, and obvious plugs. I have now got my head in circuit diagrams but not getting anywhere..... Please help....

This has been covered before on PH I think. Don't you have to re set by putting the seat all the way forward and then all the way up . Try searching on this site or the AMOC site or a call to your local dealer.

I always forget the FAQ sticky frown

Copy / Pasted relevant info here - it will be sorted in a jiffy - put away circuit diagrams! biggrin

"Window /Seat Reset
After a low or flat battery resetting the windows may be required, the tell-tale sign is when a door is opened the window drops slightly an on closing the door the window does not return to the closed position,
1. Sitting in the car with the ignition switch turned on with all doors closed, press and hold the electric window switch in the down position, once the window is fully down keep the button pressed for a further 5 seconds, you may hear a click as the window position is relearned,
2. now send the window fully up again when the window reaches the top continue to hold the button for a further 5 seconds again a click may be heard,
3. repeat the above procedure for the other window
Occasionally the seats need resetting, which is disconcerting as you need to move all the way up all the way towards the dash, the back all the way towards the dash- everything up and forward. Dont panic thinking you will make it worse / un-drivable (seat too far forward), it does work."

yes as silverspeed said. I think you will have the workshop manual. Go to ‘seat module calibration’ for reset procedure … have you just changed your battery by any chance?

Ah Ha!!!! After now finding the section in the manual/handbook and setting it up, it all works great! I am very chuffed thanks all!
I had bad thoughts of a visit to a main dealer, 100 mile round trip, with a cheque-book.
This really is a great example of how good pistonheads is!
Thats 3 hours in the workshop with manuals and toolkit and no fix and less than 30 minutes on pistonheads all done!
Thanks again!

All part of the charm, going through the "oh my god" to the delight that "they all do that Sir".

Glad it was simple - in the end.
