Driving to the Silverystone Classhic on Saturday and some nutter in a TVR Wedgical tries to make a move on my performance Prius.

As he nudged a mighty 70mph the pilot & his terrified offspring deployed his new secret new aerodynamic feature.

The damn Wedgie's bonnet lifted a clean three feet in the air

Good job the Chimpage was on hand to monkey it back on, or the driver could have been left in Solitude.

Good job the Wedgicals have a clever front hinged bonnet to save you in such situations.

I had a rear hinged bonnet lift off in a Volvo once and scared the poo poo out of me.

One minute driving along all happy at 50mph, next minute it all goes dark & zero visibility.

Now that is fun

I had an escort bonnet flip up at 50mph coming down a slip road onto a motorway..It was dark and it covered the windscreen, I managed to stop were i thought the inner lane was as the was no hard shoulder..Just a 20 feet drop into a field..When i got out i heard an almighty screeching and what sounded like a fog horn and as i turned round there was a 40 ton lorry almost jack knifing coming towards me..I was in the middle lane and he was on the inner lane....It was like a scene from terminator..I saw the police on the opposite side looking over and then they went up the slip road and across the bridge above me and i was waiting for them to come down to see WTF was going on..They never did so i wrenched my bonnet back down , Tied it with a piece of speaker wire and limped home to change my duds..
