I am looking into getting a Cerbera and have seen some that have had engine rebuilds. Would these be a good buy as they have had that done or would it be wise to run away?

Also have seen one that has been 'imported' back to the UK, any suggestions about that one?

Cheers guys from a TVR wannabe.

Is it the AJP V8 engine or the straight six?

Oh for the benefit of hindsight! Whatever you do, you'll benefit from keeping aside a little monetary float and a little emotional float! Over the long term a TVR needn't be too expensive (it's all relative though isn't it?) to run, although the Cerbera is likely to be the most expensive choice.

I would recommend you consider cars with a little more mileage rather than a little less. Whatever model, a TVR that gets little use is more likely to need a few things sorting out. I wouldn't, personally, be afraid of a car that's had a rebuild or engine upgrade, especially if it's been recently carried out by someone competent.
